Blog post #1 Richard Flores ENG 121

 My experience with research has always been a rollercoaster with ups downs and everything in between. At times research could be difficult trying to find a reliable source to seek information to help you with assignments but when you do find that source that has everything you are looking for can have so much relief knowing everything you are reading is valid. Research has always been interesting to me to be able to learn stuff that I probably wouldn’t have even come across in life without researching it. I’ve learned to seek trusted websites with valid information when trying to find good information on topics. I’ve learned lots of world history since last semester. All we did were research projects that made you look and read up on information that gave you an idea of what was happening during that time period. Researching this helped me realize the time frame of history and how it really wasn’t that long ago from today. Researching online can be much of a relief. The more I research online the more I’m thankful for growing up in the era of the internet because there no way I could look through an actual textbook to find one piece of information when you can type what you need in a search engine and it will pop up on the screen in an instant. The way of research today is way easier than what people had to do to get information before the internet era. The one thing of research I truly enjoy is being able to read up on information from different views of people and see the similarities and differences between different people's points of view on topics I’m interested in. Especially when it’s about the NFL or College football games and predictions. Although I might not agree with reporters and other media members on their opinions or predictions of sports events and players, I love to compare my thoughts to theirs, and to see where their thoughts come from is cool to see. But this all can come from any sports fanatic that breathes.

While searching for blogs to use I came across this one blog called Tom’s Burger Blog, a simple blogger who visits 2 or more burger joints a month and writes up a review on their best burger on the menu. All burger joints are based in California and some surrounding areas on the west coast. His reviews start with usually two to three paragraphs stating how he heard or found the joint. The style of writing is mostly laid back type as well as informative as he adds good information. Also states the facts or history of the burger or the restaurant he is visiting. And some of the burger joints he visits he describes the wait time and how many people were already waiting in the restaurant's line as some are only pop-up sells or really popular in the area. Blog post #2 Richard Flores The concepts of education ENG 121

     With Freire's argument I agree with his education views as he sees education as a practice of freedom and should be welcomed by all. The ‘banking' concept of education can be useful though only in the right teachings. As I feel if the information is too complicated and tactical where it's best for the students to better understand the information my just sitting and taking it all in would be best for them to actually get the information being given to them then that's where I would see that is okay to use the banking concepts of education. But like for examples where there is places where they have strict hold on education and everything surrounding it is so important to the cultures there is no one to tell them it is bad to use the banking concept of education  causes to their culture it is the higher up know everything regardless if they do or not they are healed themselves up to that standards so everyone under them sees that and just auto mactilly ...

Blog post #4- Research Project ENG 121 Richard Flores

   The few things that pop up in my head when thinking of a research project and what my topic on the paper will be are two main ideas. My interest and what I already know but want to learn more about. And I also think of what idea will be best for me and for the outcome of my paper.  In general, I could talk about football and everything that involves the sport and what makes the sport as great as it is. But then I start to think of topics I’m interested in like stuff back home like breakfast tacos or H-E-B and everything in between. But with football, I think it is gonna be my best bet as I have options and can get others’ opinions on a topic of football I choose to work on for the project. As with football can talk about the evolution of football from rules, technology, the field, and even how the game can be played to even the change of physical features of the  players.
