Blogoist #6 Richard Flores ENG 120

   In the movie, Chainsaw massacre the producer used a lot of foreshadowing in the movie to show the soon demise of the group of the protagonists. As one of the visuals shows a nail through a clock to show that time is up as the protagonist is walking up to Leather Face’s home. Another little cut seen shown as they are walking up are city cars stashed away or hidden on the side of the house and since the cars were stereotypically used by hippie people and the protagonists are hippies as you can tell by the way they are dressed. Another little easter egg in the movie is when they first pull up to the gas station to get gas, you can see a sign on the door of the gas station with the words of “Going fishing? (worms)” as if the gas station is bait for the people who are strained and looking for help. And even at the end of the movie Sally goes to the gas station while being chased by a leather face and runs into it thinking she was gonna be safe from the killer. But in reality, she was baited into the store and ultimately gets beaten and taken by the gas station clerk back to Leatherface’s home. A lot of the movie shows art in a gory way as the killers from the slaughterhouse use dead bodies, human bones, and animal bones as well. Even making furniture from human and animal bones are seen all over leather faces home.

While searching for blogs to use I came across this one blog called Tom’s Burger Blog, a simple blogger who visits 2 or more burger joints a month and writes up a review on their best burger on the menu. All burger joints are based in California and some surrounding areas on the west coast. His reviews start with usually two to three paragraphs stating how he heard or found the joint. The style of writing is mostly laid back type as well as informative as he adds good information. Also states the facts or history of the burger or the restaurant he is visiting. And some of the burger joints he visits he describes the wait time and how many people were already waiting in the restaurant's line as some are only pop-up sells or really popular in the area. Blog post #2 Richard Flores The concepts of education ENG 121

     With Freire's argument I agree with his education views as he sees education as a practice of freedom and should be welcomed by all. The ‘banking' concept of education can be useful though only in the right teachings. As I feel if the information is too complicated and tactical where it's best for the students to better understand the information my just sitting and taking it all in would be best for them to actually get the information being given to them then that's where I would see that is okay to use the banking concepts of education. But like for examples where there is places where they have strict hold on education and everything surrounding it is so important to the cultures there is no one to tell them it is bad to use the banking concept of education  causes to their culture it is the higher up know everything regardless if they do or not they are healed themselves up to that standards so everyone under them sees that and just auto mactilly ...

Blog post #4- Research Project ENG 121 Richard Flores

   The few things that pop up in my head when thinking of a research project and what my topic on the paper will be are two main ideas. My interest and what I already know but want to learn more about. And I also think of what idea will be best for me and for the outcome of my paper.  In general, I could talk about football and everything that involves the sport and what makes the sport as great as it is. But then I start to think of topics I’m interested in like stuff back home like breakfast tacos or H-E-B and everything in between. But with football, I think it is gonna be my best bet as I have options and can get others’ opinions on a topic of football I choose to work on for the project.
