Blog post #4 Richard Flores ENG 120

For the review form, I picked Rotten Tomatoes is one of the world’s trusted recommendation resources for quality entertainment that gives reviews and ratings on movies and TV shows.  As I was looking at the page for the television show Money heist the page starts with the cover picture and right next to it is their own rating system called Tomatometer and another rating with the average audience score that’s a percentage of people who rated the show or movie 3.5 out of 5.  And right under is a description of the series info with the series creator and the people starring in the show. Also, the series details the television network, premier date, and genre of the show. Below that they give a few recommendations of other shows that are similar to that show that the audience might like. And then it gives you all the seasons of the show with a click more button. Blog post #3 Review of Tom's Burger Blog - Richard Flores ENG 120

While searching for blogs to use I came across this one blog called Tom’s Burger Blog, a simple blogger who visits 2 or more burger joints a month and writes up a review on their best burger on the menu. All burger joints are based in California and some surrounding areas on the west coast. His reviews start with usually two to three paragraphs stating how he heard or found the joint. He also adds pictures of the burger as that's when he starts his own metric burger grading system.      For his system in grading the burger, I'm most impressed with it as he breaks down the whole burger. He uses ...

Blog #2 My Writing Process - Richard Flores ENG 120

For my own writing process, I like to start by combining brainstorming and organizing together. As I write the outline I just read over the prompt and reflect on things to put down in the essay. And I use an outline I was taught in the 4th grade. With an introduction on top of the paper, I use three boxes in the middle as a place for the topic sentence or just topics for the start of the paragraphs and then I draw four lines under the boxes for the sentences of the paragraph but I just use short phrases or ideas for them. Also last but not least I add the conclusion at the bottom of the page.  I find myself spending forty percent of my time on the outline and sixty or longer just putting the paper together.       The things I'd like to change in my process are the time I spend on my pre-write and organizing just because I usually find myself doing all the work as I’m writing the draft. Most of the time that’s when I get stuck with writer’s block ...
